coraline algae in a bottle

i was reading up on coraline algae online and i read that you can buy bottles of coraline algae and just put the solution in your tank to introduce different colors of coraline, anyone heard of anything like this?

Yeah, I heard about it, tried it. It helped a little.....if your parameters are good, alk/cal/mag you should have no problem growing coraline. Give it a little time, it'll happen.

If you are refering to Purple Up or Purple Tech they are supposed to be coraline enhancers, calcium and mineral additives not actual coraline algae in a bottle. I'd suggest reading the ingredients before purchase.

No I was referring to those kits where you get a fist sized live rock with coraline on it and some coraline enhancing liquid stuff. And your supposed to scrape the rock in your tank and pour the liquid in.
