I bought a used 75gallon at a yard sale a while back for $20. I've been trying to get lids for it & I'm having trouble finding the correct ones. I bought Aequeon lids, but they are too small by 1/4-1/2in width. The only identifying labels I could find on the tank is a sticker with a MFG date of Mar2006 & an anchor emblem beside the date. Any idea what brand of tank I have and what lids I need?

Find your tanks measurements and look online at DRs Fosters and Smith, it is a great store that has almost any glass lid type. Just keep in mind about how much space your filters need for the tank and leave the appropriate amount of space while looking through top sizes.

The anchor emblem identifies the tank as a Perfecto/Marineland aquarium.

Thanks deeda, that was exactly what I was looking for. If you check on Dr Foster & Smith, you'll see there is a slight size difference in the length of Aequeon vs. Marineland tops. That fraction of an inch is the difference between a lid staying up and it crashing down haha. Good thing I have my receipt for the Aequeon lids & Marineland is on sale too!

Just wanted to update this thread for anyone that has this same question in the future. I received my Marineland glass lids from Dr Foster & Smith last night and they fit perfectly. If your tank has an anchor emblem on the tag, you need the Marineland lids.

Thanks for the update!

Haha thank you deeda for steering me in the right direction. Much appreciated!
