You can't change fish. Put them with something smaller than them that is bite sized, they are going to try and eat it.

Why risk it? There are tons of other cats out there that get large enough to survive. Or you could get some of the larger species of cories. Some do get rather large. LoL

beginneralex14 ~ Mark my words mate, one day you are gonna come home, and your pike is going to have offed all your cories. Just a warning in advance.

well that could be true but atm theyre fine. thanx for the heads up th o

I think I might try it. Corys are bigger than both the GT and JD can get in their mouth. I feed three kinds of staple pellets for my fish, two of them are sinking and so I am not worried about starvation. Plus I monitor who eats what because the silver dollars are rascals and love to eat.

Thanks for the input guys.

Which ones get large? The ones I have kept in the past have gotten about 2 or 3 inches. Have oyu seen bigger? PLus I like the corys because of their schooling nature.

I love Corys, too. I'd put them in your set up but I sure wouldn't have them with an Oscar like beginneralex14. The day will come when his Cory will end up lodged in the Oscar's throat.
Cory's dart to the top for breaths of air on a regular basis. If the LFS has bigger ones, get those. Teeny baby Cory's might have a problem with the tallness of a 90 g tank.

My setup is going to stay the way it is except I for the consideration of adding corys. I don't like to keep too many fish in a tank but they fill in the bottom nicely.

Don't go for cory's, go for emerald brochis. Look just like cories but get large (4"-5") and are a pretty green sheen on them.

You are right they look just like corys and from the youtube video I saw act similarily too. Apparently they were classified as corydoras at some point too so perfect. The best part is they are from south america and so all my fish are from there but my beloved JD.

So the next question is where I can find 5 or 6 of these? Fishfarm?

I usually see them at Petsmart actually, and most decent LFS around here carry them. I have had 4" SL myself, and seen many this size. Haven't seen a 5" one, but at 4" they are so high backed that most species of cichlid would have a hard time trying to swallow one.
