fragile and can be skittish when young....but they grow into magnificent beasts that will not fail at splashing water out of the tank...
with young ones,always remember the key to keeping them alive,stable water conditions,temp between 86-90,lots and lots of oxygen,and NO STARVING WHATSOEVER.
do NOT try to get them off live during the fragile stage.
water params should be just like you would treat a oscar.
ph on the lower side.
i guess you could call them somewhat like oscars,they beg for food.they sulk.
but they arent such hardy fish at a young age and wont eat anything and everything right off the bat.
