I just done with my drawing plywood tank design. Before i start this big project. Can I ask you few questions?
1) how big is your plywood tank build? How much totally does it cost (estimate)?
2) how long do you have your plywood tank for? Does it leak, when, where ( corner, joint)
3) what did you use for waterproofing, and why?
4) did you choose acrylic or glass for viewing window? How much does it cost? And where did you buy?
5) if you choose acrylic, how did you attached it on?
Thank you.

1) my tank will be 96" X 72" X 36". It is 1077 gallons. Cost about $1.75 to $2 per gallon.
2) i never have a plywood tank before.
3) I'm thinking about Pond Armor ($246 for 1.5 gallon @ homedepot) or Max Acr ( $88 for 1.5 gallon @ ebay)
4) 0.75" X 48" X 96" from www.eplastics.com, cut and shipping total $974
5) I have no idea. That why I'm asking you right now.
Thank you.

Looks like a massive plywood build! Good luck I can't help you but all I know is measure twice cut once lol

There's lots of threads where everything your asking has been answered and documented . Just look up the plywood build threads . Looks like a nice area you have to set up a large tank. Good luck.

1) how big is your plywood tank build? How much totally does it cost (estimate)? 500 gallons. $1100 total cost. Could have made it 1000 gallons for about $300 more.

2) how long do you have your plywood tank for? Does it leak, when, where ( corner, joint) 4 years and going strong. Never had a single leak.

3) what did you use for waterproofing, and why? Max ACR. Amazing stuff, easy to work with and economical. Used 1 1.5 gallon kit for about 7 coats on my 500. ($85 + shipping)

4) did you choose acrylic or glass for viewing window? How much does it cost? And where did you buy? Acrylic, clarity and weight. Got lucky found someone local tearing down their build. $400

5) if you choose acrylic, how did you attached it on? Dow 795, worked like a charm.

Ive been working on the cost of my build as well. So for ive got a 1/2 inch glass viewing window priced out at $190 for a 96 x 36 piece. The epoxy was an area that I was really shopping for but i think i will try the Max acr as described by others. I think my total cost should be around $1000.00 for my 700 gallon build depending on what route I go with the stand and filter.

I just built a 600 gallon plywood tank, I used pond armor, I found it easy to use and not requiring alot of work, just have to be fast or mix less and take your time.

How much does it cost you total?
