Hmmm, iot ws just a thought. LOL, any way I figured they wouldn't last mroe than 2 days, btu that would be nough time to make sparkly clean water!!!
I think I will give the sponges a try. Not to polish the water, but as a decent mechanical media.

If you go to Jo-Ann's or some type of fabric shop, they have foam that are for making seats or pillows...I bought a couple and cut them to use for my pond and they work great!
