Could a ornate birchir really go in a 50g tank

my weeksi is a friendly bichir - he only eats goldfish and ignores other fish like cichlids (if i have the opportunity to get cichlids other keepers won't have anymore - they are very good feeders! But not every bichir hunts cichlids ... ornates are vituosos in this discipline!).
But there is another problem: Some bichirs are shy - it seems that all of them do have a "character"! The one ornate is a killer, the other ...
My Weeksi is a bit shy and if any fish - feeders also - is making stress i will see nothing of him for a while. It's easy for him in my rich-planted tank ...

The best way is the way of safety: Keep your frontosa in a seperate tank and your bichirs also - then you will not see any morning a meat puzzle on the one side and a thick bichir on the other ...

An ornate would do fine in a 125 with frontosas they would actually make great tankmates a 180 gallon would be better as its 6'' wider but you could get away with a 125

Live aquaria is a little funny i've heard good and bad things about there fish they do have alot of errors on there freshwater page and i think on there saltwater fish page but i don't know jack about salt water

On there freshwater page last time i checked it said a senegal needs a 90 gallon tank and that an ornate which grows twice the size of a senegal is fine in a 50 ? and a lima shovel nose it fine in a 180 true that would be great if all there limas wen't to a 180 or bigger but right next to it they have TSNs listed and they say they are okay in a 180 and they grow twice the size of limas ?
 
hahahah ya i no i saw all this and thought i was the only one, lol the only reason i look at that site is because they have some good pics and alright thanks ya if there isnt a huge price difference in a 180 and a 125 then ill prolly just get that ha just wondering here but is that where i stop with prolly 4 fronts and 3 ornates? Or can i add more?:naughty:

Just to give you a point of reference, I have read that a 75 gallon can hold an ornate for life.
 
Alright thanks just throwing this out there but if i was to set up a frontosa colony with one male and three females would there be a problem with the ornates messing with the spawning site? And also completly just wondering here but is a giant gourami to big and not a good tankmate for the 3 ornates and colony of 4 frontosas in a 125g or a 180g?
