BTW Vamp did you ever have any issues with your bare tank and reflections?? Maybe this damn Starfire is messing with these guys???

i believe reflections occur only when 2 layers of glass are viewed thru ie our viewpoint. if you look from topside of tank, there's no reflection.

I'm starting to wonder if the more space you give them the more territorial they are. I had 2 Dorado in my 300 and they relentlessly chased eachother. Now I have 5 in a 40 and they are perfectly fine and have been for months. Tankmates are an absolute must if you ask me. If they won't tolerate other fish they probobly aren't going to tolerate eachother. Disperse the aggresion by not letting them focus the aggresion on 1 fish. Having just a pair of fish allows no other outcome but all the aggresion directly on 1 another. Live and learn. Its only a waste if you don't learn anything from it. Don't let the "what ifs" get ya, you've become smarter, and knowledge is priceless.

I have thought about this many times also. Too bug of a tank that is, or under stocked would be a better way to put it imo. I am still not 100% sure wether or not it is aggression. I am like 98% convinced I should say. I just have nothing else to go on.
Anyway, "Armatus" (big guy) should've died a couple days ago but is a fighter. I will not interfere and let him die when he decideds it is time. Probably now as I type this Fang (little guy) is not eating yet and is still bashed up pretty bad. Slight improvement. At this point I will be pretty suprised if he doesn't make it, I am pretty suprised how tough these guys are actually. As stated I will post some pictures when I get around too it and will keep all updated.

Sucks watching Characins go. Almost like rays, they can take days after the point of no return for them to check out. I couldn't watch my last 2 Odoes that passed. I put them out after the 1st day of floating listlessly then a spurt of balls to the wall darting right into one or more sides of the tank. Was just terrifying the other fish. Sorry for your loss man...
