I was wondering could i breed a pair of feastae's sucessfully in a 55 gal or not?

Most certainly not, i'd say a 180 minimum at close to full size.

A 55 gal is not big enough to house one festae for very long... by the time it reaches sexual maturity it will need a bigger tank... putting two in that tank is asking for a lot of trouble...

over a foot... sometimes a foot & a half... in captivity that is...

I bred mine a couple times in a 55, it gets tight though when the male starts showing agression.

Mine were only 8" and 6" though.
