could my 6" sun catfish eat one of my 4 1/2" clown loach's? The clown loach were 3" when i got the suncatfish and he has been fine with them for a couple of months now but now i can't find my 3rd clown loach.... :(

If your measurments are correct, I don't see that as being possible. Is the catfish bloated?

Check all cracks and crevices as loaches will stuff themselves into the smallest spots.

I did and he does seam a little big in the belly...

I would think that the Sun's belly would be huge if ate the CL and not just a "little big". My guess is the CL is hiding some where. Check under, in, around, on-top, and every where else in the tank. Cl's are famous for hiding in places where no man would think to look.

In the world of catfish- anything is very possible.

same goes for the loaches, like others say they are really good at hiding. I never see my group anymore now that I've redecorated the tank. I only see one or two out foraging for food out of 20+ individuals.

Its possible the loach died and the cat ate it without the loach putting up a fight. They would have fought viciously to fend off the cat that size.
