is that a heterotis niloticus in your photo? if so what do you feed it? i thought they were a type of filter feeder, lovely tank and fish

if thats not a jar what is it ?

that tank is not 3ft wide if the CK is 12inch its nearly as wide as the tank i would say that tank is 18inch wide 20inch max

the NTT will be fine as they dont seam to fight that much no matter how many you have

the NGT will fight real bad in a goup of 3

stick to the 1st plan 1 NGT a few IT and few NTT

wow I love it when people think they know more about your tank than you do.:D

First of all the aro is a lei....I know someone is going to question that but we can ask Korey at UTA if need be he sold it to me last April.

I'm going to explain this one time as simply as possible since people are so concerned with trying to size up my fish and my tank.

To start out let me say that I have not one measuring device in the house, ruler, yardstick, measuring tape, nothing.

The tank was sold to me as a 6x3x3 250 gallon tank.I saw that it looked maybe slightly taller than wide but didnt trip on it really (and didnt think anyone else would really) as I figured it was about that,250 gallons.

Recently I had someone measure it because of people who were overly concerning themselves with it's true dimensions and it is officially 6 feet long,3 feet tall and 30" wide.

I had estimated that my ck is 15",it is roughly half as long as the tank is wide....regardless of how the pictures make it look.if it appears longer than the tank is wide than that a mixture of picture angle and him possibly being larger than 15" (imagine that, fish grow but tanks don't shrink, lol)
I could try to get a pic from the side but sine I re-acuascaped he doesn't hang out there anymore.

Also I have never measured my fish I can only guess and I am apparently not the best at it so how bout you guys just disregard any quotes on fish lengths and just figure out their sizes yourselves given my freshly accurate tank dimensions.;)

i belive it is a 6ft long x 30inch wide x 3ft deep

6x3x3ft no way :D

i also belive its a lei as it looks diffrent to a jar but hey you dont care if i beleve me or not :D

what i said about the tigers sticks only 1 x NGT per tank or loads of them 6 or more

all tigers are very slow growing if you buy 3inchers they will be lost in that tank and they could take upto 3yrs before they will be a good size

thank you for that info I am hoping to trade L aquatics some of my fish for a 5-6" NGT and the other fish I will have to work around the NGT on.

I have decided I will go all out and (not all at once) get as many dats as I can within reasonable limit.I want widebars now.I am going to try for 2 IT 2 NTT and (eventually on these ones) 2 ST...plus the NGT.

PS:this is what my tank looks like now:
