Could it be? O_O"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Still no fish fillet? Right now (5 inches) is the optimum time to get them off lives ASAP. It seems that they become more and more stubborn to get off live once they grow bigger. Better now or never lol.

the thing is, feeders do boost the growth rate of armatus by ALOT!

It's 6.5"+ now

The feeder price is still cheaper than fish fillet :)

My tank is a planted tank with heavy vegetation (I have a 10"+ common pleco and it hid itself very well). If I put in the fish fillet, I don't think the Armatus will ever find it and it will either get consume by my polypterus or it will rot in a hidden corner.

I was thinking you should let him pick off all those feeders then prazipro the whole tank.
Starve him a few days then cut small strip of tilapia for him. If he does not go for it take it out and try again the next day. You can stuff a few hikari in the filets. When he gets big enough you can get frozen sardines and mackerel also.

It's 7" now and I still can't find a suitable container for it! I think I will probably sell him soon too!

*full tank shot! (4ft in length) O_O" getting bigger and bigger everyday! O - O"

I know that Armatus and Tats look simular. theres a local fish store in my area, that currently has a tank full of 5-7" Armatus, with yellow tails boarderd by a defused black band. Plus three 10-12" Tatuaia sp. your fish really looks to me like a gorgeous Red Tat. Just my 02. but congrats on a great find!
