Ive had my male retic for just over a year now, and ive had my female retic for about 2.5 months less than I've had my male. For about the last month ive noticed the female's back/butt has been slowly been getting bigger. Her butt stays fairly big when i havnt fed her and bulges when she is fed. But heres the thing I do see movment in her butt/back but i dont now for sure if this is bec. she is swimming or if theres pups in there. Shes never had any pups before, so this could be her first. I do water changes ever 3 days and feed them 1-3 times daily depending how much im home. I never actually saw my rays mate but my male (who is a little bitt bigger) will completly go over my female and just sitt there? lol I dont now what this is and who nows they might have done something (mated) well I was at school. But I just dont now, bec. ive never bred rays before. So heres some pics please give me some feedback lol I have no clue if she is prego or not. What do I do if she is? But i have dont alot of research on it.
p.s-you'll see my male in some of the pic and the pics arent the best quality but there the best i can do

Thanks for the help

She does look preg. but do u see any movement in the bolging part that is a deffinet if u see movement

well im no stignray pro so dont quote me but i think shes preg

how big are they.... look too small to be mature... are the males claspers straight? size is key info here

Just put a chair in front of the tank, and watch her back end. When she stands still, if you watch close you'll see the babies moving around. If not, that is one fine of a feeding job you are doing. How big are the retics?

Just well fed.. Takes 2+ years and atleast 10" to breed them, probably larger.

You would notice breeding behavior and nipped discs too.. The male would be much more aggressive than usual and would be trying to get under the ray, not on top of it.
