Could someone please recommend some dither fish for my mixed monster tank?

do not put tinfoil barbs in there for the love of god.

I had 12 redtail tinfoils in my 225, with a 5x3 footprint and they used every single inch of that space.
I have a 4x2x2 (120g) in my room and I wouldn't dream of putting tinfoils in there, mine were all 8-10".

in my 120 I just have white skirt tetras, they were so cheap and they have a nice round shape that makes them hard to eat. They are also extremely easy to keep. Columbian tetras work equally well.

Congos too, because they get pretty hefty and add some nice color to the mix, I got 5 of them and lucked out to get 3 males and 2 females, lots of color!

Thanks for the advise. Didn't ever consider the tinfoils, definitely too big.
Ended up just getting some sailfin mollies. Had some black bush algae appear in the tank so they serve the duel purpose of keeping it under control and being dither fish.
Not as pretty as the congo tetras would be though.

Buenos Aires have a mixed report of being fin nippers, How about those blind cave tetras? I always have wanted to have a shoal of them.

I have diamond tetras in my 225, Javan Rainbows and congos. all make good dithers

Some good suggestions. I like the idea of the blind cave tetras. I haven't seen them round here for a while though.
