You did a really great job! Only two things I would change. "department of Catching Ambiental Crimes" should read "department of Catching Environmental Crimes". Also, I would have used the idiom "red-handed" in place of the phrase "in flagrant", but that is merely stylistic.

Sorry to be a nit-picker, it's the Teacher in me, I guess. Plus I'm mad that you beat me to it and did such a good job! I give you a solid 'A'!

You speak portuguese?!? That's awesome! Are you part of the brasilian crew here?

I want him free, but he really shouldn't have smuggled the fish. I'm surprised he wasn't able to bribe himself free. You can bribe yourself out of pretty much anything in brasil

I lived in Brazil for a year a while ago. I was able to read the article well enough, but the translations were well done on the members part.

I for one will not be signing these petitions. Heiko Bleher violated a law in a foreign country who has every right to charge him to the fullest extent in their legal system. The entire environmentalist community in large, puts enormous amounts of pressure on Brazil to do strict policing of such valuable natural land. The Brazilian government is not perfect, and has had issues with corruption. It's also hard to police and enforce law with a population so vast, diverse, and so widespread. How we expect Brazil to enforce law and protect the wildlife in the Amazon, but to give a pass for a man who although is renowned for his study and accomplishment with wildlife, when he does the same as a common pocher and smuggler.

I respect Heiko Bleher, and even respect whatever drives him to smuggle out animals just to research them because his love of wildlive. But- he broke the law. I'd like to hear what Heiko Bleher has to say though.
