its really hard for me to tell the grade of a flowerhorn at 2 or 3 inches. i normally have to wait until its a little bigger to say what grade it is. ive had flowerhorns that look like crap when theyre small and turn out to be great looking flowerhorns.

I agree 100%, the guy in my avatar, although not high grade was fugly at 3" but turned out pretty cool IMHO.

you're right and im not a competitive person. i dont try to grade anyone else's fish. as long as they like the fish then thats all that matters. i do think this fish has some potential to grow up and be beautiful and if not then its no big deal. i was just curious from some pictures ive saw recently of trimacs and thought they looked similiar because of the black spots beside the eyes. i figured id come here and ask someone who might know for sure what it was because ive never owned a trimac personally. thanks everyone for your input though. i appreciate it alot!
