i might me getting a 10-20 gallon tank... im going to put a slate rock on the left side.. a small flower pot a small fake plant and a few rocks. i will have 1in of white pool sand. i want to put a small female convict. a female Archocentrus nanoluteus. a small male firemouth (when he grows up ill put him in a 75) and a male HRP (blue convict).. do you think this would work untell my 40 gallon comes?

i gonna say yes to this question. better try to make it a 20gal. i wouldn't put any decor in it besides your sand or whatever. this creates "potential territories", could cause fish to fight more. thus making life very tough for those little guys, especially confined so much. i would however move them to the 40 soon as you get it tho.

don't separate those nanos buddy. breed them up, and i'll come pay you a visit one day for some of those frys. i cannot find them anywhere near me. i scored mine at a fish auction. rarer find and btw gl with them.

^^I agree 100%. You can do it for a couple months, but absolutely no decor. You should also try to get a 20 long for the increased area. I kept a gt and 2 jack dempseys together in a 30 until my 180 was ready with this method.

oh yeah sure thing.... i might just keep them in the 20 gallon.. you think it would work?

in the 20L? i'd give them at least a 30L or 40L for life. breed them like rabbits and make me and prolly few others on here happy with some frys. those by far IMO are your best so far. :D i also wouldn't mind having some pure HRPs if you get some time to breed those.
