All i have are fake plants and my severums hate them .I guess it all depends on the fish but mine rip them to shreds how about a jurapari or altifrons geo there colors are awesome and generally mild mannered

senegals everywhere saw ornates once but $60 each at like 4inches. I loved my senegal but would only eat live or frozen beef heart ect no pellets

as far as the cat goes my fav is always the perruno for that size tank

right now mine is in with a few jags, oscar, argentea, and a few scribble line pleco's with much cover. and is doing great
