We don't use our dining room as a dining room... so I did what any self-respecting fish-obsessed person would do and turned it into a mini fish room. I have a 90, 65, 2 fry/growout tanks and now thinking of throwing another 30 up. I almost feel guilty of hoarding at this point! At my previous house I had a 300, 150, 55, and two 30's but they were downstairs in a purpose built fishroom. Our basement isn't finished at the new house and I don't see that happening for at least a few years (or I would have another 300 or better). Is it wrong to use this space?

Is it wrong? I sure hope not! Your house kind of sounds like mine. my place is very small, & my wife's office is set up in whats supposed to be the dining room with 55g 10g and 5g tanks and my 35g and 125g are in the living room and thinking of buying a 65 or 75g this summer. Or maybe just setting up the 110g we have in storage. yea, I've got the bug too. Not sure i would call it an obsession, it's more of a "sickness"

I live in a 1 bedroom apartment. Man i got a tank in my freakin kitchen lol. and im actually in the process of figuring out which closet is big enough to fit a rack of 2-3 ten gallon feeder breeding system lol You literally cant go anywhere in my place and not see a tank :screwy: i think your doin alright in comparison lol

Nice lol. Well I want to stuff a 180 in that room yet but I have to push it through "zoning" (wife) before hand. She's not as excited about the fish room for some reason...

dont worry OP my dinning room has a 150 my living room has 2 40s my room has a 50 i ran out of room in the house so i have 3 qt tanks/ breeder/ hospital tanks outside in the shed so yeah its okay man im trying to get rid of furniture right now to fit more tanks in the house haha if it were up to me i would get rid of nearly everything haha

lmao im kinda in the same boat i have 2 tanks in my kitchen a tank in my bedroom, bathroom and living room as well as 2 ponds and 2 more tank in my basement. not to mention there are 7 more without water in them and not one of them is under 55g except the one in the bathroom it is a 20xt. im thinking of building anther one in my basement that is 14'x5'x4' been researching for the past few years and collecting supplys for the built

No offense taken and please don't be offended but, why do you say that? I'm curious to hear why simply because my conscience is agreeing with you!

Just in my personal view, I think that someone that has that many tanks might actually have an addiction. I understand some people enjoy it and it doesn't casue a problem, but I feel that it is not necessarily normal for a person to want to have that many fish living inside of glass boxes in their houses. Just my personal opinion though. Different strokes for different folks.
