countdown to LEO pups...

actually this mama's about 15" across, so not really a big leo female to start with.. yes, it's her 1st litter! :naughty:

not so much now actually, was worse before she was pregnant..
 
Congrats. You still have about 4 weeks till they are born. My Leo pups have been born anywhere from 116 days to 121 days. It will feel like eternity but will be well worth the wait. Make sure you have some wood in there so they can hide when they come out. This will make all the difference in the world for their survival. Pull them out ASAP so that mom or dad don't chew them up. oh no!! the 116th day is the day i'll be travelling!! :eek:

is there any way to induce or delay birth, assuming no one is around to do the important water change and the separation of the pups??

or are the risks involved higher than not changing water and removing the pups....... :confused:

I wouldnt suggest attempting to induce or delay birth....
