That one reminds me of a toxotes lorentzi.
Still definetly a chatareus. Nothing else really gets that big.
Looks like a long neck in the back.
Gotta see the baltimore aquarium. So many turtles and other australian fish that aren't often on exhibit here, only in private collection.

Dang, those things are still kicking around? I remember visiting that aquarium a good six? seven? years back, and saw a bunch of big archers in that tank towards the end of the Australian section, to the right of the walkway; same tank with the Aussie lungs. They looked much younger back then; less...scraggly with age, I suppose; unless those I saw back then died and got replaced I'd be inclined to say they're all the same fish. One of the employees were feeding them with a stick when I saw them; they had a container with crickets they'd stick the stick in, and once a few crawled on said stick was held over the water until the fish struck at them; the blast of water was strong enough to jostle the stick and send crickets scattering, not that any of it's relevant. Cool aquarium, though.
There was a nice bookstore (Barnes & Noble, I think) across the street with a big discus tank; wonder if that's still there.

If I'm alive Tues, my wife will be happy, and I'll continue to rag ad nauseam about nitrates.
iI I'm dead Tues, I don't think I'll I'll be worried about it.
Well Tuesday ended about 1 1/2 hours ago, you still with us brotha?

I don't live here, I live in Panama, just a temporary visit for a little trip to Johns Hopkins.

Wow I wish I saw this thread earlier! I just went to the Baltimore aquarium a few weeks ago and saw the same archerfish exhibit! I'm a student at Johns Hopkins btw but alas we will not be able to meet as I am back home for Thanksgiving this week. I do hope you feel better from Covid tho!
