man that 105mm is ridiculous!

Not too shabby. I really need to get off my ass earlier and go before the wind picks up (or later in the evening). I'm shaking the camera, the creatures are moving, and the plants are swaying so it makes it pretty tough.

Brought out the new tripod today and didn't use it as everything was blowing so much it didn't matter.

yeah the wind really sucks for macro. you should just get a potted plant, catch your bugs, bring them indoors for your lightbox, and let the bugs climb around the plant :D

Then I miss out on the fresh air and exercise. :(

That's what I did here-

It's a wax worm for fish food so it was really lethargic from being in the fridge. Leaves are from some flowers I bought the GF (don't tell her the real reason I bought them...photos).

I like that spider picture the most. Yeah, not to shabby for a $70 lens.

Those are some neat shots there
really liked that pink spider

That lens is neat, if only it gave out a better bokeh
it would be a perfect macro lens

It has great bokeh, but I'm going for as much depth of field as I can when shooting macro (f11-16 in those photos) and bokeh is most noticeable when wide open or close to it (f2.8-4). Using it for portraiture is where you'd see the bokeh shine, not macro.
