Couple "bugs"

This guy was on my tripod knob. Maybe 2-3mm long.

Not really in focus but I've never seen a bug like this before. The thing flew into my ear and when I grabbed it this is what I saw (It's resting on my thumb).

that bee is one of the halictid family. beautiful, aren't they? my favorite bees...

also, breat shots of the wax worm and crab spider!!

You should find the spider in the 1st pic and put it on different colored plants / flowers for more pics. That species can change from that white / pink color you photographed, to solid green or solid yellow depending on the flower it's on.

I had no idea. The only reason I saw it was that it was bright white on a dark green leaf.

I got the Lester Dine macro ring light today in the mail ($29!)...should be even more fun now!
