Couple DSLR shots of my fish.

Thanks all, and I thought they were Ramshorn but wasn't sure at all. Thanks for clarifying.

As for the camera setting, I just set it to Auto w/o flash for the tank shot I think. The knob on top has two auto modes one with flash and one without. If you want no flash just set it to the auto mode that shows the flash inside a circle with a line through it. It won't pop up the flash then.

Here is a good users guide for the D40 also.

It is the next setting under Auto.

great shots! btw i think your cory is a corydoras haraldschultzi or it could be corydoras sterbai.

check this out and tell me which one it looks like to you http://www.scotcat.com/factsheets/corydoras_sterbai.html

hope this helps!
Thanks Much :)
I'm not sure he is either, check out the top fin of mine and those. Those are spotted and mine just has the solid black. Very close though, but I think it may just be a little different species than those.

No problem. :)

Loving the RTC...looking good there bro.

Thanks, he is spoiled rotten.

Here are a few more I took tonight.

Jewel Cichlid and Convict are both a few years old. You can see the teeth on the Convict if you look close, she is a small female but still has some mini teeth.
Clowns I have only had a few months.

Great pictures! I just bought the same camera.
Question: What setting did you use to get the full tank shot.
For some reason i cant figure out on how to not use the flash.
use program mode ("p" on the dial)

Nice shots for auto! Love the RTC eying his food.

nice setup & collection..
