the lfs lied to you go back and get a refund
it is a normal sen
how much did you pay for him

I'm going to talk to him because I've got to know them after all these years. The problem is that I bought it about 3-4 months ago and have been growing it out in a 29 gallon. I have no receipt but I'm sure he'll remember me saying "That looks like a Senegal, it's not worth $30". He talked a good talk and sold me on a p p buettikoferi. What a crook lol. Actually he's a pretty good guy, I'm hoping he'll make good on it.

Nice polys, but def not buetti's...not even a longfin

Ok not a buetti but the other is a longfin isn't it? I got it from Rich at Infinite Aquatics as a longfin. Here's a not so flattering pic of him with his fins fully stetched out.

that for sure is a longfin
its finlets are a dead give away
may be pwmin was saying that the other wasn't a buettikoferi and not a longfin sen

ok cool that's a relief lol. Sens are pretty cool, even though not the most beautiful they're the most active. My Del, Ornate and Weeksii spend most of their time sitting under a log whereas the Senegals swim around quite a bit.

first would be considered a long fin the next 2 pics are of a normal senegal and then you have a good looking ornate

I'll try to get some later. He's always hiding. Here's all I have atm. My pic of when I took him out to measure during a water change. He's my biggest poly.
