flemming - yes i bred them myself , there approx 2 months old now ,i think there going to start to change colouration shortly, just starting to see spots on there dorsels now

how did you breed them 1have on pulchra now,and i am looking for 2new guys.
i really love to breed them.

hi flemming , i have them at room temps , i had a group of seven as the outside temps started to rise over the summer two of them paired off ,circling each other every evening doing mock spawnings ,at that point i removed the other fish and left just the pair in the tank ,several days later they spawned , not sure how critical it is but the temp of tank on day of spawning was 23deg , this is the same temp that uli bred his at , i belive he used heat in fish house to slowly rise temp to 23 deg over a week or so , other things of note , the water surface much be very still ,no movement at all and some sort of covering of plants at surface as they use theese to deposit there eggs between . if i think of anything else i will add later
