do you think he will become more aggressive as he ages, i know he obviously past maturity at this size but he doesnt bite me, do you think he will stay this placid?

lol funny. no i dont want him to bite me but all other experiances ive had, seen etc they bite, my dads makes him bleed every time he cleans the tank, id be happy if he stayed this placid.

Oh yeah, he is nice.

My male certainly hasn't toned down his temperament as he has aged, by any means. You really don't want them biting, take my word for it, lol. Best to keep one eye on him at all times during maintainence ayway, just in case.

its possible it will stay very calm. i have a midas/devil around that same size, and she's extremely calm. only bites me when she as eggs in her pot. otherwise, she lives with 3 convicts that are all less than 3", and pays no other fish any mind either.

he's not so placid towards the other fish, he lets me pet him so hopefully he's not gonna start attacking me, ive been bit by my jag before nearly took my hand off.

Yeah my male RD is pretty mean to.Attacks the gravel vac during water changes.He lives alone does'nt like tank mates.
