I love that colour variation. Nice looking fish.

thanks for all the great replys.

I've brought MANY-a-placid midas into MASS MURDERING fish aggressive ppl. aggressive fish

the main reason they aren't ppl. aggro. is simply put thats unnatual your are VERY much larger then him, and fish naturally assoicate our hands with a paw or claw or something trying to eat them something they should naturally be afraid of-- SO what you need to show him your hand is NOT something he needs to be afraid of
(what the setup like)

if he has a set territory he guards (which looking at the pics I'd said he does) basically start slowing intruding on his territory he should eventually start realizing your hand isn't going to "grab or eat him" and start get bolder around your hand and other objects you hold in the water (this may take some time days or weeks) (a female in the tank would help out his "boldness", and or a mirror taped to the side

try that with him in is OWN TANK just him by himself or him and one female

if you add a female make sure she is smaller then him and has a cave of some sort that he can NOT fit him (thats the way to get around using a ugly divider)

TRY THAT OUT

thats just one example of one way to perk em up i have a few more techniques
id love for you to tell me all ure techniques honestly, since those photo's his nuchal hump is decreasing in size:irked: your avatar is a well nice fish as i would say it.i had a small mirror on the tank and he smaked the glass and it fell off and smashed, ill have to get a new one soon. i was thinking about getting him a female tbh he's currently in a 90G tank with some sand and a mahussive piece of bogwood. he owns the tank, other tank mates are my pair of jags but he'll be on his own ASAP.

id love for him to have a nuchal like yours! i feed him hikari cichlid gold
