the most beautiful doesn't have to be the most colorful, gotta be subtle, and plenty fw fish got personality of groupers. not gonna argue too much bout fw vs sw. but i stand on the fw side as i believe a datnoid is just as good if not better than a grouper

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But I had TONS of freshwater fish and not even a redtail catfish had the personality of this grouper. Idk if all groupers are like this or if I just got lucky but words cannot describe how much I love this fish
I have a 6" Lyretail Variola grouper that acts the same way. Love the personality! Similar in coloration to a Mini and for that reason I cant add one to my tank.

I would too if theyd get along but they arnt aggressive to any fish except other Harlequins
