Well they are some fine ocells so hopefully you can work out getting a bigger tank, sometimes on craigslist people are looking to trade their larger tanks for tanks this size, or you could buy one at a good price and try to sell yours. But anyways nice fish.

hate to toot ur horn but those look like farm hybrids to me

Yeah I've been keeping an eye out for a tank on craigslist and also on this site hopefully soon something pops up. I know they are farm raised but did think they positively be hybrids. i hope they are hybrids that would be awesome!

Sweet.....now I need to get them a tank to watch them grow more and faster!!

Great looking fish. Aren't they suppose to have red eyes by now?

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Pbass that have red eyes are Wild Pbass and Farm raised ones don't inherit that.

not true i had farm breed ocells with red eyes but wild ocells get blood red and other wild cichla like my peru mono i woke up and her eyes were red and neva stoped being red

When they were smaller they had a red tint in there eyes but not anymore

I kept 4 Ocellaris in a 100gallon for about a year. They grew from 1 inch to about 8 inches on a diet of chopped market shrimp and frozen smelt. They kinda look like yours, but with bigger eye spot on the tail with more red and gold.

I traded them in after I went to Steinhart aquarium and saw how big they can get. Seriously, they can get to be more than 3 feet long. Beautiful fish that needs a huge tank.

What is the longest time that any one kept these in home tanks? Say in a 240 gallon or smaller tank. I would like to try again if it's possible to keep these guys long term.
