  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Breathtaking fish indeed.

What's the lifespan expectancy and the max size?

Lost my umbee to columnaris at about 17"-18" and about 4-5 years old.

If you guys are only seeing these hit 17-18" inches in 4-5 years I might have to consider one for my new 180 :) ... definitely my most coveted fish.

Ever seen a full grown umbee? I’ve seen Magnus and he makes his big tank look small. These guys get HUGE!

Yeah, I'm tempted, but I probably won't do it. I'd have to rehome it after ~3 years, but it would be a fun three years. I just know it would break my heart to have to rehome a fish I put that much time into. I plan to get a 300+ some time down the road, so I'll probably just wait. An umbee like this is my grail fish though.

IDK if my question got lost or no one knows... so I will repeat it:

What's the lifespan expectancy and the max size of an umbee?

Please, those who know advise.
