Couple quick Ornatipinnis questions

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my LFS doesn't usually get onnes in that small but they saw one at the importer with amazing color and pattern at 2" so they got it and when I saw her I had to have her even though they were the one uj I didn't want because my last one was a recluse. Well this one isn't

Cool, do you have pictures? Or still too small?

Welcome to the poly club, as stated above cut up fillet tilapia is the best way to go, try feeding during lights of, it helps them be more comfortable feeding since this fish are noctural.
They dont rely on their eye sight, mostly they smell the food so feeding at night wont be a problem.

A blender is not necessary for frozen tilapia. U can use scissors to ship pieces off into zip lock bag. Just run some water over the sink and place to thaw for about 5-8 minutes.

your right you can use scissors in fact I have to use the scissors to cut up the tilapia into to small enough pieces for the food processor to handle but putting it through the food processor makes it easier for small polys to rip pieces off
