Perfect

One more question. I am not all that familiar with the technical wording of these, so I am not sure which to get. Right now my overflow is just plain old 1" pvc. What is the correct strainer to get? I don't really understand what things like MNPT mean. Also, are the all threaded? I don't have threaded PVC right now, but I guess I could some
It stands for Male National Pipe Thread, which is the standard thread for PVC fittings. Looks like Aquatic Eco only sells threaded strainers, so you'll need a threaded PVC adapter. If you want a slip fitting that will fit into a an elbow or coupler, get them from Jehmco in Bobby's link, they sell threaded and slip fittings.

Thanks for the help everyone

I bought these and installed them yesterday. So far, so good. Flow seems to be a little restricted, but not by much, and no animals can get sucked in anymore. I did have to cut back my intake pipe about an inch to keep the same water level.
