Pacific get a touch bigger than Atlantics with these guys... but roughly a 3' tip to tip wingspan.

Per my purchases, I don't ever intend to reach true adulthood - but right now, about 5'10".

To be honest, I'm just ecstatic they showed up - I'd been hearing some rumors about this guy, but no actual first-hand stories, that left me feeling very worried about having ordered from him. Fish die in shipping all the time (see my bonnetheads). That he delivered, and delivered quality, puts me in a great mood (and I just got a nice surprise bonus this afternoon).

These guys really kick up a lot of sediment when they lift off the sand. Gotta figure out a way to help with that...

Very neat. Are their mouths on the bottom like other Rays or are they in front like the one picture looks?

Those guys are so cool, this summer one of my professors was doing work trying to determine if there is a need for separate or sub species designation for 2 types. Differing number of tooth plates and a couple other morphological differences. We'd have to kill any we caught to get all the measurements tho unfortunately. :/

I'm glad you're happy with the rays you got. But be careful dealing with Dean. He's done some very shady things to many Bay Area aquarists and keeps a lot of his livestock in less than adequate conditions.
