Coworker has left fish in bag for DAYS!!!!

Ok, maybe you guys can talk some sense into my coworker because im not getting thru to her!!!!

She was supposed to setup a new tank over the weekend and before she got everything setup, she bought some goldfish to cycle the tank (fancy goldfish mind you). Well, she got "sidetracked" and didnt get to setup the tank because she was having a Kirby vacum demonstration at her house :screwy:

so, she's just left the fish sitting in the bag since the weekend. who knows how the hell all those goldfish have survived in that tiny bag. AND THEYRE STILL IN THE BAG!!!!!!!!!!!! she has no intention of setting up the tank anytime soon and said she's "just gonna let them die" :screwy:

i give up. ive tried everything to talk some sense into her but its not working. maybe you guys can help. im gonna send her the link. i even told her to bring me the fish, but no luck
 
im calling peta!!!!hahahaha tell her to give em up! how would she like to be put in a bag for days!!!
 
lol seriously! im nowhere close to being a PETA freak but just trying to show her the ways of responsible fishkeeping. so far its fallen on deaf ears
 
I mean they are just goldfish but at the same time, very cruel. How long would it acctually take to set up a tank. Not very long in my opinion, at least to get them out of the bag
 
Some people just dont' care. and never will. It's just a fish to them not a pet or a hobby. And if you tell her she shouldn't do what she's doing b/c the fish will die. I'm willing to bet anything that she'll just say they haven't died yet so why would they die now.
 
She may just say it to get on your nerve! You can't be certain that she left fish in the bag
 
well she seems a bit " not so bright" IMO... i mean why buy them just to let them die... and i mean you could at least take a pitcher and fill it with water... or just fill the tank up and let them in there just to get out of the bag...leave it to someone to actually kill a goldfish...on purpose..a fish that will live through just about anything...
 
hopefully this thread will change her mind

i think you hit the nail on the head. this pretty much sums it up. some people just keep fish (or pets in general) for the wrong reasons
 
Wow, its not about her killing these poor fish, its about her lack of responsibility to take care of a helpless animal that she brought home. She was the one who decided to get them, she decided to ignore them and now she thinks the problem will just go away once she has let them die in a bag. Thats pretty sad.

Actually what makes it worse is that she wont give the fish to you and wont do even the least to take care of them.
