New female 'cadaver' pike, about 11" very healthy and full of attitude! Found at a LFS!!! Suspect she was purchased from Rapps about 3 years ago when he had a couple available. This Pike is very unique - 'one of a kind', her red eyelids are amazingly beautious, dark body & fin markings very striking. Most cadaver pikes are dark and drab, horribly diseased looking. This one is actually healthy looking with not too much "rotten" flesh! She's a happy holiday surprise for us ~ ENJOY!!!!

interesting looking perch

Very interesting but I am still of the opinion that it is not specific to a single race or species of pike but rather a condition that any pike can contract and is a disease or parasite that causes the unique look.

There is a species of pike where the male and female get the intense red "eyelids". Perhaps it is one of these with the aforementioned skin condition?

very nice!!!!

Nice got it from aqua imports right i saw it there a little while ago great looking pike wish i could of gotten it

Hope you injoy her :)

Cr. sp. "Calmeta" is the pike I'm thinking of with the intensely colored "eyelids". I've got some pics here somewhere. Let me find them and I'll post them up.
