Do they normally have the red coloration in the tail? I haven't noticed that before.

That much red in the tail isn't neccessarily that common. The 'lents' that have been coming in lately normally don't color up quite like this. Which leads us to believe that he got a different variant than the ones we have been seeing a surge in lately.
