Cracked 6ft tank

Hmmmm how sure are you that crack wasnt already there? Odd that it cracked like that right where the brace is.

If i was feeling ambitious i would attempt...something. Youd have to strip out all the seals, remove that brace, cut a piece of plate glass to patch over the crack and extend beyond it at least 6". Then id probably try to repair the crack with resin from beneath before sealing the plate down over top of it. Then youd have to reseal the tank immediately after the patch glass and i would still probably only trust it as a garage or basement tank.
 
There was a moment during loading that my helper dropped it. Very tiny distance, but right where that crack is now, so I'm pretty sure. It was free anyway so not like I've lost anything in getting it if it was already done.
 
Good idea, man. If you get impatient, bored, ambitious and have a well-put-together toolbox and workshop, you can cut down a few of those panels and build a slightly smaller tank from what you have there already. You know, just for fun :naughty:
