hey everyone my 240gallon CLEAR FOR LIFE cracked in 7 differnt places. all small streess cracks. I dont mine buying a new tank especially if it was my fault just princapal.
I bought them for the warranty they offer. the tank is 3 years old
first they ask what i hit it with?? i was like huh..? are you serious.?? If i hit it with something i wouldnt be calling you guys.
then they said something hit it. I told them no the cracks are from the inside out. then they told me on the rocks in your tank hit them. i was like your kidding me right .? my tank is bare only sand.
Then the guy sayd you must have accidently hit i with your hand or something. I was like seriously 1/2 acylic you have to hit the darn thing very very hard and hit it with blunt force to make a crack like that. and in that case you will see markings of impact. This is just nice clean cracks.
then i told him there was 7 of them all in different areas of the tank.
after all this and emails and phone conversations Clearforlife says oh we dont waranty the acylic because we dont make it. We only warranty workmanship.
If you want it warrantied we have to cut it out and send it to the labatory to have them x ray and inspect it to see what it was.
So we cut the tank up and if they say it was my fault im **** out of luck?? the guy at clear for life say pretty much.
