CRACKED FOR LIFE..!! HELP

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
They say they stand behind their product 100%, 100% includes the material their product is constructed of.
Screw'em, stay on'em like a pitbull. :irked:
I'd tell'em that your picking up the paperwork for small claims court and your gonna try to get on Judge Judy

Advance Aqua Tanks offers a Lifetime Warranty on all our ClearforLife™ aquariums. What does that mean? Simply this: We stand behind our product 100 percent. Our continuing goal is to manufacture the finest acrylic aquariums and systems available. We support that quality with value and service

Simply this: We stand behind our product 100 percent

100% means (to me anyway), that it don't matter who's fault it is- maker, material supplier, shipper, whoever- they should stand by there product.

A new tank would be cheaper than the bad word of mouth advertising or a small claims court appearance.

At times a vender has to bite the bullet and "do the right thing"...

Their warranty is very clear once you get a copy of it with your tank.
They warrant the tank against leakage and nothing else. If it does leak,
you have to pay the freight charges to ship it to them.

It has been frustrating and that's why I have posted the story. I'm sure
9 out of 10 times someone buys a tank from them it will be fine, but I
wanted people to be aware of what will happen if you do have a problem.

Found this from a salt water forum... darn Sad

put it in your basement. Fill it with water. The cracks will get bigger...and leak under all that force.

Then...you get a replacement.

They will never, ever, replace that tank. They will keep giving you the run around until you give up. Warranties on such products are vague, and not worth the paper they are written on. Few tank companies are truly honest with you up front in telling you they only guarantee the tank to hold water.

they tried to bash me on some other forums. saying it was my fault. i didnt blame them i just wanted to know what happened. and how we canfix it. they said i came in there depmanding a new tank which was not true.

If i would have bought this tank and it was mine...;

first off the cracks are stress seacks from a minor defect in the materal. what you need to do is ind out who they buy there stuff from a harass the hell out of them, email the presiden/ owner of the company on a 6hour bassis and call every other day, speak to everyone one by one, the bigger of a thorn in there side you are the more likely they are to replace the tank, they will fold just make sure that its before then you,

Now do you have the tank or do they?, there are steps you can take to fix them... you can "melt the cracks up" using the acrylic cement.

If you have the tank, take it outside or in your basement fillit up, till the top, and from the inside start hitting it with your hand untill it cracks and leaks, this would conctutute leaking, they are not spacific in where the leak must come from, they never said anything about the joints, just that they warrent the tank against leaking...

they are right that it isnt thair fault that it cracked, its the lanufature of the acrlyc, you need to go after bolth of them....
