Cracked my heater :/

Was doing a water change and forgot I left it on started wiping down with the algae scrubber and I bumped into it and crack. Ordered a new one EHEIM Jager Aquarium Thermostat Heater 300W http://amzn.com/B003I5UC0W the heater that broke was a cheap tetra 50 watt that was always on since the day I plugged it in there is also a tetra one that is larger was wondering if it will hold the temp until mine arrives. It's the kind that auto shuts off when it reaches the desired temp.

That sucks Bro, I have a jager 300 and wow its awesome, heats my 125 without a problem, best heater I've owned, bulletproof! Be aware tho its huge, 21" tall!

+1 I totally agree. I have a 300 heating my 150 gal, but it's not quite enough. I also have a 200 in my sump to make up the difference. Jagers are incredible heaters.

I have four in my tank. Lol. Only three here as one was defective out of the box. Three did fine but 4 is just in case and a good back up.

You must need more flow in your tank. Not sure why that's not enough heat for you. Try getting the water to move around more. Or turn the dial up more.

+1 that should be plenty, Its winter and my house temp is 65-67 and I've had my tank up to 84-85 no prob, and it wasn't on full power. Then again I have a lot of flow

I have one in the planted but it is acrylic and does not lose heat like the glass
