I am really starting to loose my mind.
When doing your set up always make sure you secure your lines going to and from the tank. I had a little boy come and visit us, my wifes friend and son, I was in the bedroom trying to keep from getting too annoyed by this kid and his whining and constently getting into trouble. Well, when no one was looking the damn kid crawls under my 120 gallon tank and yanks out my return line on my ehime filter. Needless to say no one caught the problem untill my tank was drained half way down. Now I am asleep with the wife when at 1 in the morning I am getting a hammering on my door. The water has leaked down to the floor below me and this is the first indication of problems, I had just installed new taps in the kitchen so we first thought it was going to be that. Then we go to where the aquariums are and my 120 is half full and water all over the floor, not knowing where the water has come from I figured my tank had broken a seal yet again after I had resealed it twice now. So i drain the rest of the tank before noticing the detached line. I move my aro out into a large bucket running air line tubes to keep it O2inated. I did try to take precautions by takening the tank lid and placing it over the bucket but the aro still made it out. I found him on the floor a few feet from the bucket. The guys came to clean the carpets, I would have taken care of my own but they did the ones below and were going to do ours too, it all ended up costing me 200 in just carpet cleaning. I was soo pissed off, and the mom has not said much to me personally about the whole thing, tho she did say she was sorry to my wife.
Now my sisters kids are here and twice I have found my heat lamp fallen into the turtle tank. I ended up punching a hole in the wall and have vowed that anyone touching my things again will not see the next sun rise.
It has not been a good month I tell you that!
