It does look ok.
But I certainly wouldn't pay $60 for it when you can get quality less common color morphs for around the same price. And for $60 you could get a good looking regular large adult oscar.

It just might be a wild oscar with very little coloring. Mine looks similar to this as well, except for the olive shades.
If that's rare then my local petsmart is sitting on a goldmine. They have 100+ oscars with no coloration for like 4.99

Although I agree it is not RARE, it is definitely not as common as other strains of oscars. The oscar in that pic is very very nice. I know people who actually have oscar specific tanks who collect all the colors. $60 is at a premium but for the right buyer what is $20/$30 over what most would pay!? If you like the fish, buy it, it's not like they are trying to sell it for $200. $60 is not highway robbery. I am sure many of us have overpaid for certain fish. God knows I have.
No they don't look like that one. Although they lack the orange markings like this one, they are generally a dull grey charcoal color, not jet black like this one
