Craigslist aquarium scammers

People take things too literally these days. Obviously it is not technically scamming but it is so unscrupulous that it might as well be. If you overpaid for something I'm sure you would feel a little ripped off as well. That is the point of the whole post. With that said, I'm not surprised to hear it. There are plenty of people out there to take advantage of the less informed.

maybe people should research before they buy. if you are too lazy to look around and know what the prices are before you buy then good you deserve to pay the high price. also when the DPG sale is over and prices are up again then people who need a tank will be getting a deal. so is PETCO scammers too because i know that they are making a huge profit. so no this guy isnt scamming or even pulling fast ones on people. its some one taking advantage of a sale and wanting to make a few bucks the tanks are BNIB so good for him trying to make a quick buck.

Oh boy, I've just found some brand new tanks (photos are of PetCo tanks) for a lot more than the dollar per gallon price - I wonder how many people will get taken. Example: 40 gallon breeder for $75. 38 gallon for $65.

40 gallon for $75 isn't even that bad. I've seen some people try to sell a used 100 gallon glass tank and stand for $800.

No, no - that's what I'm saying - they are buying the tanks at PetCo for a dollar per gallon, and re-selling them for those prices, as-is, still in the cardboard they are wrapped in - nothing else. See the humor yet ?
Petco doesn't always sell tank for a dollar per gallon. Just because you don't like the price, it doesn't make the seller a scammer, or make you a cheapskate!
