using feeder crickets will work over time also.

Common sense. When they get used to looking for prey on the top of the water they will consistently be looking to the top for feeders. Crickets will remain on the surface until eaten.
 
so if that were the case you dont think floating pellets would do the same thing?
 
any of those methods should work, but it would take a while if the aro has bad de. imo i dont care about DE, its going to happen sooner or later. ima talk to the owner today, hopefully ill have this guy home by the weekend.

What difference does that make the fish is still looking up no? in my honest opinion silvers dont get DE from not looking up enough. but lets not open up that can of worms

True, but just saying in the interest of this thread that it might make the severity of the DE significantly less, most likely will not eradicate it all together though. Seems to be inherent in Silvers
