Ok I think I'm going to pull the panels apart and completely redo everything. Any suggestions on the best way to take it apart and put it back together?

Urau Joey made a video on a corner tank that might be helpful. Check out his youtube for it. Otherwise (not speakingfrom experience, just what I would do) I would try to cut the trim in the back or a corner that won't be seen and try to get the trim off in one piece. I believe most tanks are siliconed along the very top where the trim sits. Once the trim is off the top and the bottom scrape all of the easily accessible silicone off. And take a razor blade to all the seams. Not sure how well this will work if the seams are to tight to get the blade in. Otherwise a small wire, like a piano wire or a guitar string may fit in the joints enough to get the seams apart. You could also try pushing on opposite corners of the tank to get it out of square to make the seams easier to get to. (Not sure if that makes as much sense as it did in my head.) Then silicone it all back together, place the trim as desired and put black silicone or some type of safe paint where you cut the trim. I don't know if that helps but I hope it gives you some ideas.
