craigslist deal worth it?

On CL there's a 125 with stand(wood painted black w/ 2 doors on the front), light (looks like a standard strip light) and "2 filters". From the intakes, one of them looks to be an AC110, the other looks to be an Emperor-style. Everything looks nice from the pics- stand doesn't look all bashed up, glass looks clean & clear on the

Guy's asking $300 firm. Think it's worth it? I want to call him soon, but I'm iffy about the price.

300 isn't too bad, there's always better deals out there, but hard to get if your not a craigslist stalker. If it's worth it to you, go for it.

I know there are always better deals around, but it's rare to see one any better than this in my area. For a tank that large, it's about the best I've seen so far, and I look pretty much daily.

A couple days ago I missed a free 90 gallon. man, I'm kicking myself for that one!

I think $300 a little steep...........I got all my tanks for $150 or less w/ accessories off CL. Hmmm talk him down to $225

If it's a good deal for your area, the prices elsewhere are irrelevant.

Don't be discouraged if someone else found a better deal in their area... local availability means a lot in regards to how good of a deal it is...

If that's the best deal you've seen in your area lately... then it's the best deal around...

If you could wait 6 months and find a better deal.. ask yourself if it's worth paying a bit more and getting it now as opposed to in 6 months...

sounds like a good deal to me I paid 245$ for my 125g tank, stand, and canopy, no lights no filters, just the 3 items.

$300 is not bad for just the tank and stand... the other items are gravy. compare it to what you would pay in the store. you got a great deal. if you need the tank and you feel good about it, do it.
