Most of the messages you get are from SCAMMERS/SPAMMERS. Once you email the scammer back they now have your personal email to which they send you fake ebay stuff and other stupid offers to try and rip you off. They will offer you extra money by check for you to pay their shipper upon pick up. Most of their words are spelled wrong or in broken english. Just delete the emails from them.
You either need to put your phone number in your ad or post in the ad for them to email their number and you will call them. CASH in hand only! If they don't respond with a phone number delete the email.
If you can weed through the BS on CL it's great for buying and selling.

Yeah, you get a lot of crazy whacked out people on CL!!! I have them e-mail(or leave me) me their # to set up a time for pick-up. However, there is still the chance of no showers with CL. I prefer to use e-bay. they charge a percentage to sell your items but I think it's more secure than craigslist.

No, its the first email I get from them that pisses me off. "is this item still available, please tell me shortly" I always get that, then you gotta say yeah it is as of right now. Ive just been saying, well whomever gets back to me first gets it.

I kind of dont want to just tell everyone to come over and the first one here gets it lol.

I could do that,,,,,,tell me this,,why do 10 ppl email you to see if you have it still,then not get back to you. Who does that, I mean whos got the damn time?

TOTALLY AGREE!!! I mean I can understand that someone isn't going to email and say I'll be there at this day and time, but why does everyone ask this. People on Craigslist are complete idiots sometimes. Then you email tham back and they don't answer. IDIOTS!

I had a guy who called to tell me he was on him way as I was loading up the TV. He was kinda pissed, but that's what you get for taking all week to find time to get something that was free. If you can't jump on a good deal, don't be mad when someone else can.

If they don't send me a phone number, I just delete it. I don't ask outrageous prices, I've never had anything I put on CL last more than three days. Usually gone the same day.
