Craigslist prices?

So I have been on CL tank shopping and I have no idea how much some of these larger tanks should go for. CL cracks me up because some people will sell a 75 gallon setup for 150 with everything and you will see a very similar setup for 650 jesse! So I found someone selling a 125 gallon tank and stand(just those) for 200. Is that a good price?

$1 a gallon is a good price for a tank. Expect to get "nickel and dimed" for extra accessories.

In your case: 125 @ $125, and stand for $75. You can think of it in those terms.

I spent 500 on my 150 on CL. Came with tank, stand, hoods, lights, decor, gravel, and canister filter which I broke trying to get it primed.

Hey I lucked out got a 125 gal with a 400 filter for FREE. plus guy called a few days later and asked if I wanted a 55 gal. I said yes of course. you can get lucky sometimes.

I got my 125 glass with tops and stand and filter off CL for 200. I got my 150 glass tank by itself for 75. I got my 450 glass with stand for 350. CL is a great tool if your willing to shop it and look around. Aquariums and tanks are listed under every category on there. I just click on the FOR SALE title and type in my search. Then it searches all categories and you can find the "hidden" deals. My 450 was under cars for example.

My area on craigslist is New York (City). It's amazing how much prices drop once you click North Jersey or Long Island...
