he'll probably try to pawn off rbp on you, do you know what the visual difference between both species fry are?, i personally have never seen piraya fry but they are probably very simalar at 1", my personal guess. i know by 3" piraya are yellowish.

well it's a craigslist ad and as with most sorts of ad's like this you really never know, the fact he's stateing that piraya's are worth $500 at 9" and he only has a male is suspitious being that i've never heard of piraya breeding in cativity and i'm pretty sure you need a male AND a female. and he's just giving out a $500 fish for free- YEAH OK!
 
piraya have not been bred in captivity yet, and if this guy accomplished it, he would not be selling them on craigslist.
 
babies reds...if it captive bred it would be red bellies...piraya doesn't breed in tank, not that i know off.
 
you should flag that guys ad for removal and make your own post explaining the situation before some poor schmuck ends up paying 20 times more than what baby reds are worth

click on his ad and there should be a box in the upper right-hand corner that says please flag with care and then it has a couple options to choose from for why you are flagging the ad
 
you could try emailing the guy first and see what he says about them, like if he is claimin that he bred these or not
